It is a pretty strange option but a  not insignificant amount of people are choosing a yacht which also has a small pool on it. Now, while you may well be right to think that this is a bit peculiar when there is a whole ocean surrounding them for them to enjoy, there are a number of reasons why it can be a good thing to have as well.

A lot of people who do buy a yacht with a pool make this choice because they are intimated by the ocean. Sometimes this is because they don’t feel as though they are very strong swimmers, sometimes they are afraid of the animals in the ocean such as sharks. It could also be because they frequently visit seas with cooler water temperatures, and therefore don’t want to go swimming in that water.

If you’re not terribly bothered by any of this and only have a small yacht, by all means don’t get one with a pool, but if you’ve got a large one with room to spare and often have guests which may or may not have a fear of the ocean, then it may be a good option.
