One of the best parts of owning a boat or yacht is customising it however you see fit. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy either, sometimes all that’s needed to add to the aesthetics of a boat looks is to add some stripe tape.

Boat stripe tape is available from most maritime retailers. It is easy to use and can be applied with a few basic tools.

To apply the tape simply peel back a short length of backing and place the tape to the surface using an applicator to smooth it down. After this peel back more backing and work along until the length required is completed. In order to get a smooth line masking tape can be used as a guide, placed along the line required before the tape is applied.

Boat stripe tape is self adhesive, applied directly onto the desired area of the vessel so no additional fixatives are required. It can be applied to flat or slightly corrugated fibreglass, painted, metal and glass surfaces.
