It is possible to live your life on a boat. Everything is possible if you try. However, living from a boat full term is not recommend it is of course doable.

Before you take the step to live on your boat, there are a few things you will need to consider. The first thing is where will your home mooring station be? Will you be parking your car there, if so do they charge for car parking? If you are not planning on having a car, is there local shops or buses to get you to shops. You really need to consider how you will be able to get supplies to your boat. Once you have figured out the basics of getting all of your supplies, you need to consider where you will want to be going. It will be hard being away from society for so long. The best idea is talking to people who already do this, and try to make friends along the way.
